Dean Canning Day - El Dia de Embasar

Dean spent, as a tradition by now, the hottest day of the year to can. He canned peaches, pears, tomatoes, cucumbers, and red beets. Felixa helped a bit pealing peaches. Dean canned 3 baskets of peaches, 1 basket of pears, 3 baskets of tomatoes, and 1 basket of cucumbers. He canned also red beets that he planted. Dean paso, por tradicion ya, el dia mas caliente del ano embasando. El embaso melocotones, peras, tomates, pepinos, y remolachas. Felixa le ayudo un poquito pelando los melocotones. Dean embaso 3 canastas de melocotones, una canasta de peras, 3 canastas de tomates, y 1 canasta de pepinos, tambien embaso remolachas que el mismo planto.

Camping With the Nofziger's-Acampando con los Nofziger

Anna, Kevin, Dean and Felixa went to camp the first week of August in Delaware. The camp was a nice place. We took the bus to go to the beach, very convenience and practical. It was humid but trees surrounded us so it made nice at night. The camp has a pool, after the beach, we jump in to get fresh. We cook some meals there, but nothing big. It was a lot of fun to camp with the Nofziger's! Anna, Kevin, Dean and Felixa fueron a acampar la primera semana de Agosto en Delaware. El campamento es bonito. Usamos el bus para ir a la playa, muy conveniente y comodo. Era humedo pero los arboles nos rodeaban y eso hizo la noche placentera. El campamento tiene una picina, y despues de la playa, nos refrescamos un poco en ella. Cocinamos algunas comidas, pero nada extrabagante. La pasamos muy bien con ellos.

Tim & Kirsten's Wedding-Boda in July

Sylvia, Tim & Harold Martin Tim and Kirsten's wedding was on July 29. All morning was raining nonstop, but as a promise from God, by noon the sun started shining. It was a nice summer-warm day. It was a nice wedding. They have traveled a lot, so they have food stations of different countries. Dean and Felixa helped them cooking for the Spain station. It was so much fun! La boda de Tim y Kirsten fue el 29 de Julio. Toda la manana llovio sin parar, pero como promesa de Dios, para el medio dia el sol comenzo a brillar. Fue un día de verano, muy humedo. Una boda muy bonita. Ellos han viajado mucho, asi que tuvieron estaciones de comida de diferentes paises. Dean y Felixa ayudaron cocinando para la estacion de Espana.

New York with Some Friends-Nueva York con Algunas Amigas

On July 25, Dean and Felixa took Alicia Nafziger, Angie Kunkle and Angie's friend to a trip to New York city. Angie and her friend wanted to go to a Museum. Dean suggested couple of options. After we arrived to NYC, they went to the Art museum; Alicia, Dean, and Felixa went to different places around the Big Apple! El 25 de Julio, Dean y Felixa llevaron a Alicia Nafziger, Angie Kunkle y una amiga de Angie a un viaje por la ciudad de Nueva York. Angie y su amiga querian ir a un museo. Dean les sugerio un par de opciones. Despues de que llegamos a Nueva York, ellas se fueron para el Museo de Arte; Alica, Dean y Felixa fuimos a diferentes lugares de la Gran Manzana!
