Dean surprised Felixa with a nice Christmas present. He got for her a flight to Honduras for New Years Celebration with her family. She left few days after Christmas and spent two weeks there. She loved it! Dean knows how much Felixa misses her family and that was one of the best presents ever!
Dean sorprendio a Felixa con un gran regalo de Navidad. El le regalo un boleto de viaje a Honduras a pasar ano nuevo con su familia. Ella salio unos dias despues de la Navidad y paso dos semanas en la casa de su mama. A ella le facino mucho! Dean sabe que ella echa mucho de menos a su familia y por su puesto eso fue uno de los mejores regalos de navidad el pudo haberle dado.
One of the thinks that Felixa was thankfull about was that she was able to see her sister pregnant of her second baby. Her sister, Valia has a girl named Joice and is expecting the second one. Felixa enjoys a lot her brother's family as well. Tuny, Felixa's brother, has 2 boys, Adolfo and Hector David. Felixa finded out that her sister in law Johanna is expecting another one. She is going to be aunt again, she loves it! - A Felixa le encanta compartir tambien con la familia de su hermano Tuny. El tiene dos hijos, Adolfo y Hector David. Felixa se dio cuenta que su cunada esta embarazada y esta esperando mujercita. Felixa va a ser tia otra vez!.
One of the things that Felixa enjoys the most when she is in her country is to spend time with her family cooking, and Christmas or New Years is always a good reason to cook and share with the family. One afternoon, her mother Noemi, her sister Valia, and her sister in law Johanna got together and made Tamales. It took the whole afternoon but it went fast with 8 hands! Valia cooked for her housewhole as well as Johanna. Felixa and Noemi cooked for them and Felixa's younger brother Felix. It was a lot of fun. Una de las cosas que Felixa disfruta mucho cuando ella esta en su pais natal es el cocinar junto con su familia, y la Navidad y Ano Nuevo es una buena ocasion para compartir con su familia. Una tarde, su mama Noemi, su hermana Valia, y su cunada Johanna se reunieron para hacer Tamales. Les llevo toda una tarde en hacerlos pero fue con 4 pares de manos se hicieron rapido. Valia y Johanna hicieron suficientes tamales para cada una de sus familias. Noemi y Felixa cocinaron para ellas y para el hermano menor de Felixa llamado Felix Jose. Disfrutamos mucho cocinando juntas!She also go out with her friends, or they come to her mother house to visit. Like in this case her friends Maria Luisa, Ondina and Karina went out to eat, twice! And Jorge came also to visit, he is a good friend of the whole family. Felixa tambien sale con sus amigas, o ellos vienen a visitarle. Como en este caso sus amigas, Maria Luisa, Ondina y Karina salieron a comer dos veces! Jorge Sosa tambien llega a visitarla. Jorge es un buen amigo de la familia. Felixa stoped to visit her ants Sandra and Luz. They live not far away from Felixa's mom house. Felixa fue tambien a visitar a sus tias Sandra y Luz. Ellas no viven muy lejos de la casa de la mama de Felixa.Felixa loves to travel with her family. Felixa, before she moved to the States, she worked with Peace Corp Center in Santa Lucia. Santa Lucia is a very turistic small village, about 30 minutes from the capital by car. What Felixa and her family love about Santa Lucia is the weather, because it is between the hills and the food. They ordered Tapado, wich is a soup of dry salty beaf with coconut milk. Hummm delicious! She also got Ojuelas, it is a thin sweet flower tortilla with some syroup. A Felixa le encata viajar con su familia. Felixa, antes de que ella saliera para los Estados Unidos, trabajo con el Centro del Cuerpo de Paz en Santa Lucia. Santa Luca es un pueblito muy turistico, queda a unos 30 minutos de la capital por carro. Lo que a Felixa y asu familia les encanta de Santa Lucia es el clima agradable, pues esta cituado en las montanas y por su comida. Ellas ordenaron Tapado, que es una sopa basada en una carne seca salda con agua de coco. Hummmm delicioso! Ella tambien comio Ojuelas, que es una tortilla fina de harina endulzada con dulce de azucar.
