Since 2008, after John and Henrieta or H let us use their cabin; we have been coming to Maine every year. On 2019 and 2020 were an exception because we'r helped Fela and Armando moved to FL and we helped them and we'r vacationed there that year. 2020 obviously wasd a no-no year for everything.
Rufus is not enjoying the trip as he used to. He is 11 and he sleeps missy off the time so traveling and moving up and down in a higher car looks incredible difficult to him.
Again thanks to H, we were able to come. I had been looking for so many places to vacation included in PA but nothing. All of the sudden after we visited H on Easter and mentioned that we were not having any luck finding places in Maine and that our Land Lord in Eastport died of cancer our days in Maine do not look promesing.
She ran to her files and took the time to even copied for us. We were calling that places I am not sure how many times until mrs. Betty answered and the only days available were in June. So we right the way say yes to a new and closer place than Eastport, called Tenants Harbor. It is located near Rockland and Camden.
So we prepared, took Rufus and Ben. And we also rented a mid size SUV.
We left Friday, June 18 at 9:30 am. We were hoping to make it to a hotel near Rangley to see moose but traffic was horrendous. There is a reason why we leave at night... there is light traffic or not traffic at all!
We're plan this time to stop and have lunch or breakfasts in a park or somewhere like that instead of driving and eating.
Been travels fine when here has an electronic toll with him. We set boundaries and time limits. He has to experience the trip as well. We want to do a book with him called "Launch into the Teen's Year". So we are preparing for it and I cannot wait to hear what Ben has to say about it.
We decided not to go all the way to Rangely and instead we stay near Boston. We were 3 and half hours away. The people at the hotel were so nice and didn't charge us because we canceled last minute. We rest till next day... zzz
We arrived around 3. We had the chance to stop several times and the views and smells are one of the reasons why we love so much Maine.
We have noticed that Maine has been hurt from COVID regulations and restrictions.
We hope and pray they will recuperate soon.
